Ramsay continue to develop links with Wasps
On Sunday 14th December 2008 Sir William Ramsay were given the opportunity to take a group of boys on a trip to Adams Park, the home of the London Wasps. Eight boys from Sir William Ramsay attended the Wasps CoacHclass session held at the Bucks New University. The sessions are run on a regular basis for pupils within the London Wasps Community.

The CoacHclass sessions are intended to actively encourage children of all ages and skill levels from all social backgrounds to have equal opportunities to try rugby. The sessions offer young pupils the chance to receive two hours of quality coaching from RFU qualified coaches, and tickets to see a London Wasps game. The coaching sessions are aimed at improving individual core skills, unit skills and team skills.

The pupils that were in attendance on the day were:

Andrew Eckheart
Bradford Langenhoven
George Mumford
Daniel Sarchet
Sam Smith
Kai Stevenson
Elliot Tarrant
Oliver Tindall

The boys enjoyed the two hours coaching session which was run alongside pupils from Wye Valley School and the pupils from both schools got to know one another over the course of the day. At the end of the coaching session each pupil received a certificate and London Wasps beanie hat.

After the coaching the boys then travelled to Adams Park to watch the Heineken Cup clash versus Edinburgh. It was a cold day at the ground but the home side made it all worth while by winning the game 19 - 11.

Due to the strong links with London Wasps we have recently been informed that there will be another opportunity for our pupils to attend another CoacHclass session that will run at some point this season.
